Helping The Environment (Tamaki Estuary)

Monday the first of July marks the beginning of Ruapotaka's way of helping the environment.

This special moment took place at Tamaki Estuary. We first collected green and blue buckets to put our rubbish we collected in. We had to partner up with the children from Room 7 and my partner was Sefo.

We walked along the footpath and bridge searching for rubbish. Madisyn found a golf ball and had a bucket full of rubbish. When I saw all the buckets full of rubbish I was sure this river wasn't clean at all.

White Ferns Lose To Canada

The White Ferns have lost to Canada and now have 14 games left in the women's world cup, although they have already lost two. In Grenoble the team lost by 2-0. Canada attempted 17 goals and only two got in.

The White Ferns only hope to have a chance against Cameroon, the next team they're up against.

Teacher's Concerned About NZ's Future, Which Leads To Strike

Teachers around the country have taken over the cities of New Zealand and decided that it's time. Teachers have an uneasy feeling about the future of New Zealand. Majority of the teachers are thinking of quitting over the next five years into their journey or even retire.

Even though teachers want a 16 percent increase in money, it's more about not having enough staff members. The government has offered a 3 percent pay rise over the next three years. Teachers are not 100 percent about this transaction and want more.
