My Feelings If I Went To Germany!!!!!!

If I was in Germany I would be terribly terrified, because I don't speak their language also because i'm pretty sure that we won't have any Germany dollars so I would be very worried and really scared. Honestly I wouldn't ever be happy their, only if i could understand them like seriously!!!!!

  1. Hi Kotipi!

Thanks for writing another blog, I really enjoyed your honesty about how you would feel if you were visiting Germany. It's true that they do speak mainly German there, however a lot of Germans speak several languages and it is quite common to speak English there too :-)

They use a currency called Euros in Germany, which you can use all over Europe in lots of different countries which I think is very useful!

Going to a new country can often be very scary, and I completely understand why you might be feeling nervous! Germany is actually a wonderful country to visit, with very friendly, welcoming people. Even if you didn't really speak their language, I am sure they would try very hard to make you feel welcome in their country :-)

Germany has recently taken in thousands and thousands of refugees from countries like Syria, so they are a very good at welcoming in new people to their country! I hope you have a chance one day to visit there and see for yourself.

This was a really fun blog to read and comment on Kotipi, I'm looking forward to seeing what you write about next.

    Dan.

  2. Hi Kopiti,

It's great to see that you've joined us for the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. We're really excited to have you on board!

I can completely understand that you are feeling nervous about going to Germany. It is a long way away, however, the people of Germany are really nice and they will help you. Many Germans speak English really well and they will be able to answer your questions and show you where you need to go and what you need to do. I had the opportunity to travel to both Berlin and Munich (big cities in Germany) over the past decade and I really enjoyed my time in both places.

The cities are full of amazing buildings and great restaurants. I ate a lot of fresh bread, cheese and salami when I was in Germany. Do you like salami, cheese and bread? If so, you will have a great time!!

I hope that you'll have time to rejoin our journey soon. We can't wait to see what you discover next on your travels.

    All the best,

    Rachel :)

  3. Hi Kotipi,

My name is Madeleine, and I live in Canada. I really enjoyed reading your blog! I would be scared too, if I was in Germany, because I don't know the language either. Having money is also really important in a foreign country. Your writing is so potent, I felt scared after just reading the first sentence. I love your writing style! Keep on writing, and have an amazing day!
